Personality Plus

Hi friends,
Here goes the second one...

Personality Plus by Florence Littauer
*************************************

An amazing book..that reveals "personality profile" self-test and Littauer's valuable guidance &  helps readers better understand themselves and others..

A must read for everyone who wants to be loved and accepted..by others..

The book talks about the different Personality Types..

  • The Perfect Melancholy: Analytical, talented, creative, idealistic, and perfectionistic, but also can be negative, moody, critical, and revengeful.
  • The Peaceful Phlegmatic: Calm, dependable, practical, patient, quiet and witty, but on the down side, can be pessimistic, fearful, and unmotivated.
  • The Powerful Choleric: Decisive, optimistic, confident, organized, and motivational but, on the down side, can be very cruel, domineering, unemotional, proud and inconsiderate.
  • The Popular Sanguine: Cheerful, curious, sincere, fun, friendly, compassionate, warm and enthusiastic, but can also be undependable, restless, fearful and undisciplined. (We can sincerely start a project with a bang, but let it fizzle out and die.)

See what other readers had to say..
***
PERSONALITY PLUS is one of the most enlightening books that I have ever read. Florence Littauer shows how to determine what type of temperament you fall into: Popular Sanguine, Powerful Choleric, Perfect Melancholy, or Peaceful Phlegmatic. Understanding that, we are then shown the strengths and weaknesses that accompany each of them. Littauer then teaches, gently and humorously, how we can improve ourselves and our relationships by simply recognizing and accepting the temperaments (in ourselves and others). For once we understand that the other temperaments are different from us because that is simply how they are built, and not because they wish to annoy us or make things difficult, it changes the way we look at and deal with people. As I read this book it was like a lightbulb popped on in my head--difficult people in my life were suddenly seen in a new light and dark motives I had attributed to them disappeared. And our relationships improved.

You Can't Steal Second With Your Foot on First

Hi friends,
I would share some of the info about my favourite books in the coming weeks..
Starting today..here goes the first one..
Its a fantastic book by one of my hot favourite authors.
I would be more than willing to lend the books to those who are interested in reading ..
Just shoot me a mail..

You Can't Steal Second With Your Foot on First
by Burk Hedges
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Choosing to Become Independent in a Job-Dependent World !!

Let me be frank and straighforward ..This book was written back in 1996 . if you agree that JOB is a temporary solution to a PERMANENT problem...read on...else you would be wasting your time on my Blog....
A great book to learn why Jobs = slavery..JOB ..
Taking charge of your business = Freedom and that it's your choice as to which direction you go...
In case you have any insecure feeling about leaving the world of job(s) they will all disappear after reading this book.

The book beautifully shows the perils of continuing to work for others!!
I loved the comparison of jobism and communism.
If you need a boost to take control of your life... this is it!

You will be able to find out the MYTH that surrounds the job industry..
Its the age where PINK slips are issued in a jiffy...
Where is the JOB SECURITY??
Are we all aware of it..If yes..are we doing something about it??

Or just waiting for the WORST TO HAPPEN first!!!

Grab the book...or let me know if u want me to lend it to you..Just amazing stuff!

Cheers

Inner Strength

Hi Friends, I am back after a brief pause...
Just came across this wonderful piece of poetry..( once again..) by one Mr Karan D..in one of my fwded mail..
could nt resist sharing with everyone..

Thanks to everyone who has flooded my mailbox with their mails of appreciation for my posts..
u can always reach me at my id given below..
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
INNER STRENGTH

I'm running from this problem,
Distancing myself from its scare,
The power to solve, to repair myself - its there,
But seems like all I'm doing -
Is turning away, while it continues to stare...
I need to resist, to keep up the fight,
This is not a problem - that one can solve overnight,
I will try and try again, till this devil does die,
Only then can I face my conscience, and rid myself of this plight.

One needs to struggle, one needs to cry,
Sufferings and pain - they're opportunities that come by -
To appreciate the joy and energy of life,
If there was no sadness, then how could joy be defined?
For you to improve - to get better at anything you want,
You need to have courage, and do what you think you can't,
I have the inner strength - it is sealed inside,
It gives off an aura - of unprecedented might,
I'm even given the key, what else can god provide?
Now it's up to me, this battle is only mine...
*************

For anyone who has trouble facing problems. We've all got our troubles, and we all know that running is not an option. So face them, and give them a good hard PUNCH!

U can Succeed

Having a dream: Goals give focus and can be incredibly motivating. Successful people don't shy away from dreaming and working on something 'seemingly impossible'.

A common habit of successful people is the continuous desire to expand their knowledge - from books and, people they meet...

Accepting changes, and being flexible to them is necessary for success.
Accepting changes means... not giving up your responsibility and never blaming others for current circumstances.
It means to look at change as an opportunity to learn and improve our skills.

Finally remember..what I said earlier in my Blog..
there are no LOSERS only QUITTERS..
come what may..NEVER QUIT in life..
Get associated with the POSITIVE MINDED people..
if ur friends are the ones who LAUGH at ur Dreams..then u well know..
ITS TIME TO CHANGE..

Many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up." - Thomas Alva Edison

Success Quotes

Good Morning friends..
Some of my favourite success quotes collected over a period of time..

The most expensive advice is the FREE advice that you receive from your FINANCIALLY STRUGGLING friends and relatives..
--------------

" For a man who's able to recognize his own shortcomings is a man who can change his own destiny."
-------------
" Potential: the word that may be used to describe where you could be, who you could have been, and goals you could have achieved. So why not just make it happen?"
-------------
Things don't get better by worrying about them!
-------------

" Excuses are tools of the incompetent; they build monuments of nothingness."
---------------
" The history of the world is the history of a few people who had faith in themselves."
---------

You are the best..You can create a HISTORY..! Nothing can stop you..

Seize the day!!

1. A FOOLish man tells a woman to STOP talking, but a WISE man tells
her  that she looks extremely BEAUTIFUL when her LIPS are CLOSED.

Before Marriage - Drink whenever you are SAD
After Marriage - Drink whenever you are HAPPY

3. Three FASTEST means of Communication :
1. Tele-Phone
2. Tele-Vision

3. Tell to Woman

Need still FASTER - Tell her NOT to tell ANY ONE.

friends.

5. A man got 2 wishes from GOD. He asked for the Best wine and Best

It is when your Girl Friend says YOU are the BEST KISSER among all your
Friends.

7. Let us be generous like this : Four Ants are moving through a
forest.

They see an ELEPHANT coming towards them. Ant 1 says : we should KILL

him.

Ant 2 says : No, Let us break his Leg alone. Ant 3 says : No, we will

just throw him away from our path. Ant 4 says : No, we will LEAVE him

because he is ALONE and we are FOUR.

8. If you do NOT have a Girl Friend - You are missing SOME thing in
your life.
If you HAVE a Girl Friend - You are missing EVERY thing in
your life.

Answer : On their MARRIAGE.

10. When your LIFE is in DARKNESS, PRAY GOD and ask him to free you

from Darkness. Even after you pray, if U R still in Darkness - Please

Dont Ever Quit

DONT QUIT

Don't quit when the tide is lowest,
For it's just about to turn;
Don't Quit over doubts and questions,
For there's something you may learn.
Don't quit when the night is darkest,
For it's just a while 'til dawn;
Don't quit when you've run the farthest,
For the race is almost won.
Don't quit when the hill is steepest,
For your goal is almost nigh;
Don't quit, for you're not a failure
Until you fail to try.

Always remember...there are NO failures...ONLY QUITTERS!!!!

Become your best

Hi pals ,
Here are some tips..I found useful..so thought of sharing with you all too..

Leadership Consulting Tips

1. Listen with an empty cup---if your mental cup isn’t empty you can’t listen and learn.

2. Understand most conversation is about the other person---not you.

3. Set aside your opinion while listening to others---it allows you to “try on” what’s being said.

4. Joining people in their conversation, not yours, allows you to open up your power of selflessness.

5. View others as who they could be—not who they have been.

6. Understand what the “home runs” in your life are.

7. Define who you are—not what you do.

8. Look at complaints as a commitment to change the circumstances.

9. A promise is your word---once you promise something, you can’t take it back, unless that other person allows you to.

10. Don’t issue commitments as intentions—most people understand commitments as promises and will hold you accountable.

Personal Presence Tips

1. Look people in the eyes when having a conversation with them.

2. How you walk into a room gives your audience their first impression of you.

3. Listen to your voice tone—is it full of energy and passion or full of monotones and void of excitement?

4. When telling an audience you are happy about something, make sure you’ve told your face that also!

5. Leaning forward into a conversation portrays your focus on that person and conversation.

6. Stride with purpose—don’t purposefully stride.

7. Give a warm firm handshake, not a limp or hand breaking one.

8. Don’t allow your hands to distract your audience from your message. Your hands may be telling another story than your spoken word.

9. Wear clothes you feel good in and receive energy from.

10. Smile!

Cheers
